    ABOUT ME:

    I am a qualified and experienced Couples Psychotherapist and Professional Counsellor. My main work is Couple Therapy (also known as relationship counselling) but I also work with individuals on personal issues that are affecting a relationship.

    PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS

  • I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work to their professional and ethical standards. (Click here to read about these.)

  • I trained in Australia where I am an accredited member of The Professional Counselling Association of Tasmania (PCAT) itself an affiliated member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

  • I have 16 years experience in practice.

    My Psychotherapy qualification

    My core qualification is a Graduate Diploma in Couples Psychotherapy completed under the auspices of The University of New South Wales in Australia.

    And in Counselling:

    I have two Certificated Counselling qualifications also completed in Australia whilst working with a Relationship Counselling agency similar to Relate in the UK.

    And my experience:

    I have conducted in excess of 6000 sessions over the last 16 years with individuals and couples.

    For three years I worked as a counsellor with survivors of torture and war trauma in an agency providing psychological rehabilitation to refugees. I am accustomed to working in the most difficult of circumstances.

    HOW TO FIND ME

    I work from my home in Durnford Street, Stonehouse,(Click here for map!), within walking distance of Plymouth city centre. Local buses pass the door(Citibus 34). There is also a free car park in Strand Street (near the Cremyll Ferry terminal).
